Learn Portuguese for free with Skype friend

So, do you want to learn Portuguese?
I've discovered that is hard to find out a good and engaged language partner, and I've got this idea:
If you want to learn Portuguese, you can send me a message with your skype contact and the free time you can speak online and will talk in fifty-fitty language division (Portuguese/Your Language). This way, I improve or leanr more about your language and you improve or learn Portuguese. It doesn't what language do you learn (if you have necessary endurance to teach and learn).
So, what are you waiting for? Send-me a message to other_languages@outlook.com or make a comment.
My languages preference for now (but not exclude other possibilities): English, French, Swedish, Spanish, Chinese, Indonesia, Italian, etc

I also speak Cape-verdean creole.

Academic English

I was reading a post on the Internet about academic language, and I realize that my English is better when I am talking about everyday events than academic English.

When I try to understand academic English my level go down. It's like if I were a B1 level in academic English, but a Be everyday English. So I decided to take it apart, as it were a different language and learn it.

What I mean, I'll try to learn and speak academic English too. Perhaps it seems a crazy idea, but I must be able to speak two Englishes: the regular English and the academic one.

What do you think about?

Dez. 19, 2018. Post-scriptum: I am not sure anymore about those differences. Sometimes I think my academic comprehension is better than my everyday vocabulary. Maybe I spent more time trying to improve my academic language skill that it really happened.

A wrong day, but not a life: you must keep going!

Last Monday, the day of my life that many things went wrong, I found myself thinking about the purpose of doing what I am used doing. But what is specifically doing the right thing?

I realize that in my way, this long track searching for something better than I aim to be, it was not the fact that I didn't do the right thing that counts much more, on the contrary, maybe things sometimes went wrong because I just didn't continue in my way.

But what can we call "the right thing"? I am quite sure that is to continue doing what we want, even if we feel that something is going wrong. Just do it, and the practice will make the rest.

Last Monday was terrible, and I knew that that quitter feeling was coming, but now I know that we cannot get off only because one day your life seems miserable. You must keep going!

What you think about my writing?

Did you have some experience like that?

My first post in English

Hello,

This is my first post in English. I confess that it is easier for me to write in English than, for example, in French, which I also have an intermediate level, but my idea is not necessary to find the right words, but almost an exercise on which you can comment and correct me as you want if you think is necessary.

I studied English at school, but just a few years ago I've decided to really study it in a more intensive approach. So now I have an intermediate level, maybe a B2 or something near that.

What do you think of the preposition I've used? Have you any time be attempted to say "in school" instead of "at school"? Note that I can always say "I was not in school yesterday", meaning I was not in the school building ("Eu não estava na escola [no edifício da escola] ontem"). I can also say, "my son is still in school" (= he is attending a school).

Nice week and we see again soon.
